2012 CMSA Playdowns

Hard to believe but it's almost that time again. On May 22 & 23 (U19 C level) and May 26-27, 2012 (U10-U16 C Level) the battles begin to see who will represent Coquitlam at the Districts in Port Coquitlam and ultimately the Provincials. The CMSA wishes best of luck to all of our teams! The schedule is attached.

Douglas College ladies advance to NWAACC Championships

The Douglas College Ladies softball team, the team for which our UIC and alumni player Laura MacMillan plays, has finished second in their conference and has advanced to the NWAACC Championships in Portland, Oregon on May18 - 21st, 2012. This is Douglas College's second year as a Varsity Sport and first year to enter the Championships.

For any players interested in playing College Softball, there will be open try-outs in the end of August and early September 2012. If anyone wishes to contact someone about more information for the 2013 season they can contact Laura at .

The CMSA wishes to congratulate Laura and the Douglas College Team for their achievement and wishes them best of luck at the championship!

Senior Classics on a roll

The Senior A Classics improved to 6-0 last night with a 7-0 victory over the previously undefeated Storm Sr. team. Way to go Classics! Here's a link to the New Westminster Senior Ladies League standings.

On Sunday, June 10th, 2012 we are declaring 'Adult Softball Appreciation day'. Starting with a game at 2 pm between the unbeaten Senior A Classics and the powerful KAOS team. We are hoping to follow that with a Senior B game at 4:00 pm, then a Junior C at 6:30 pm, and finally Senior C at 8:30 pm. We will have some special presentations before the KAOS game and the Concession will be open. We encourage all of our Minor players, coaches, and parents to come out and support the Junior and Senior Teams on this date. It will be some exciting high calibre softball!
