Player Code of Conduct


I agree to abide by these codes of conduct set by the Coquitlam Moody Softball Association and will do so to the best of my abilities. It is the intent of this to outline the character, conduct, and overall respect of all players of the Coquitlam Moody Softball Association. Included in this outline and understanding of association operations. All players must read through and ensure they understand all points and will abide by them, or the resulting consequences may be suspension or removal from the team.

Main principles are to respect yourselves, respect others, and respect the game:

  • I will respect the coaches and their decisions
  • I will respect all opponents
  • I will respect all officials and umpires
  • I will always show sportsmanship
  • I will treat all members of this team kindly and with respect
  • I understand that I am responsible for myself
  • I will hold myself and my teammates accountable
  • I will listen when others are speaking and be mindful of interrupting
  • I will not make any rude comments or use lewd language
  • I will respect my uniform and all team gear
  • I will be on time- or let my coach know if me/my family is running late
  • I will jog or run anywhere on the field
  • I will have high enthusiasm during all games and practices
  • I will be the type of teammate I would like to have
  • I will be actively involved in the set up and take down of all equipment (be a valuable member of this team)
  • I will always leave the dugout cleaner than I found it
  • I will have composure (have a strong face even when its hard)
  • I will have a “Team First” mentality
  • I understand that attitude, effort, and hard work is up to me
  • I will always represent my association and the name “Classics or Chaos”
  • I will be focused and serious when it is needed
  • I will make my best effort to attend all team fundraising events
  • I will ensure that I regularly attends all games, practices, and events. If unable to do so I will ensure to communicate all absences with the coaches via text, email, or phone call
  • I will always show class
  • I will positively always support myself and my teammates
  • I will not leave the dugout during games to go talk to my parents or hang out in the stands (I will be focused and involved during all games)
  • I understand that there is ZERO tolerance for bullying or violence (physical or verbal)
  • I understand and will make sure that my social media is handled appropriately (absolutely no online bullying)
  • I understand that if my actions do not comply with this list, the consequence could be suspension or even removal from the team
  • I understand that I AM a LEADER
  • Laugh a lot. Make friends. HAVE FUN!
